They are new, player-friendly, and offer an easy point of entry with access to important resources very close to the starting area. They also have neighboring asteroids that are exploitable in later game stages. Finding good ONI map seeds can be difficult, and the ones on this list can help solve this problem.

Giant Ice Biome

This is an interesting map for seeds Does not contain oxygen. It's a little different than all the others on this list, and it's included because of the easy access it provides to the really big ice biome. However, it is said that little exploration and expansion will be required to exploit this biome.

There are two steam vents side by side in the starting area. This basically means instant access to more steam, which of course means the player has an instant source of water. There's also a radioactive swamp asteroid nearby, which is always useful. Distant asteroids include a superconducting asteroid, a swamp asteroid, and a tundra asteroid. As usual, there is a radioactive swamp near the asteroid. Most good ONI map seeds have this feature. But what really sets this seed apart from the others is that it has two very useful copper volcanoes at the beginning. This is perfect for beginners of this resource management game.
