While the main focus is on Izuku and his classmates from 1-A, you shouldn't forget that 1-B is full of heroes in training just like their counterparts, as seen from the joint training and school festival arcs.

With so many fantastic villains, these guys don't get enough spotlight.

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu
Will of Steel

Steel |
Tetsutetsu Tetsuetsu, or Tetsu x4, is not his hero's name. Instead, it's her birth name, despite sounding like some exotic onomatopoeia. He is Kirishima's rival and best friend in Class 1-A and has a close relationship with him.
Steel hardens Tesutetsu's body and gives it steel properties. This, combined with his ironclad will and immortal soul, make him one of the toughest opponents any villain can play. He has grown a lot since he lost to Kirishima at the beginning of the series, and is an example of a true hero even as a student.

Itsuka Kendo
Big hands, big brains

Name of hero |
battle fist |
|---|---|
|
strange |
big fist |
Itsuka Kendo is representative of Class 1-B. He is the strategist and strategist of the class as well as the brains of the group. She is very impressive as a person, being able to go toe-to-toe against 1-A's Yaoyorozu Momo in a battle of wits.

From childhood 'friends' to bitter archenemies.
His Quirk abilities are more on the simple side. Big Fist, as the name suggests, allows Kendo to make his hands bigger. This gives her superhuman strength and a great way to hold multiple enemies together. She makes great use of this otherwise weak Quirk, and makes for an even greater leader when commanding Class 1-B.

Jurota Shishida
Animals with brains
|
Name of hero |
Gevauden |
|---|---|
|
strange |
animal |
Fans of the X-Men series may find parallels between Shishida and Beast, with the former's Quirk also known as Beast. Jurota Shishida, at first glance, seems like a brawn-over-brains type of character, someone you'd expect to go on a wild rampage. His theme doesn't help his cause either, literally looking and acting like an animal.
However, Shishida is one of the smartest strategists in 1-B, second only to Kendo. Aside from his intelligence, he has a very versatile quirk, gaining increased strength, speed, instincts, and emotions. While often overlooked by his classmates, the protagonist, Gevauden, is someone the hero society can take advantage of.
4
Ibara Shiozaki
Best Hair at UA
|
Name of hero |
Bell, Maria (East) |
|---|---|
|
strange |
Bells |
Ibara Shiozaki is the most beautiful student at UA, and also a very powerful one. Unlike other heroes who have to go plus ultra to demonstrate their power, Ibarra can stand still and let her hair do all the work with her hands clasped in prayer.

Who are the best students in Class 1-A of My Hero Academia?
What allows her to do this is her Quirk, Vines, which allows her to use her hair as extremely durable rope. These can be used for defense, offense, and for immobilizing enemies or formations. Ibara's ability is absurdly strong, and it's a shame that the anime didn't explore it more after the initial screening.
3
Nito in mono
All in one house for one
|
Name of hero |
phantom thief |
|---|---|
|
strange |
Copy it |
All for One is the single strongest Quirk in Boku no Hero Academia, allowing the user to steal and store any Quirk they wish. While Monoma's copy isn't as strong as the original, it still gives our favorite arrogant annoying raccoon a taste of what it means to be the most corrupt villain in MHA.
Monoma's quirk activates upon physical contact with the target, thus calling him the target's quirk. This ability works best in scenarios where Monoma can touch multiple targets to switch between powers, either by tagging enemies or providing support to allies. His personality may not be heroic, but Monoma has proven that his copy can very easily overtake the original.
2
Kino's Komori
|
Name of hero |
Shemage |
|---|---|
|
strange |
mushroom |
Komori is not a great hero, nor are mushrooms as scary as other Quirks in the My Hero Academia universe. However, we saw how terrifying this underrated power could be when it touched the Class 1-A students during the joint training arc, suffocating them from the inside.

After the end of My Hero Academia we have 9 long questions
My Hero Academia's manga wrapped things up nicely, but there are still unanswered questions.
Unfortunately, as impressive as the earlier feat was, this is not the height of Komori's power. Her quirk is described as allowing her spores to grow any type of mushroom, no matter where they grow. Without saying otherwise, this gives Komori access to a variety of psychedelics or instantly poisonous mushrooms, making her Quirk a force to be reckoned with.
1
Juzo Honenuki
He softens anything he touches
|
Name of hero |
Mudman |
|---|---|
|
strange |
to soften |
Juzo Honenuki was recruited from Class 1-A to become part of the Hero Course, along with Torodoki and Momo. This should already put him in good stead with his peers, but his Quirk and strategic use of said Quirk in the Joint Training arc make him shine even more than those in 1-A.
Mudman's Quirk, Softening, lets him turn anything he touches into a semi-liquid. This works well as a way to disrupt an enemy's movement, trapping them in quicksand, but is also a great way for Juzo to travel safely, swimming through whatever material he uses his Quirk on. We've seen a pro hero with Simentos similar to how Juzo's softening works, so there's no doubt that he'll eventually become a very strong part of the hero's arsenal.
