Attacking the “true” bodies of Devil Fruit users
-
Among the three types of devil fruit a piece—Logia, Paramecia, and Zoan—are the most challenging to fight in. The reason is that Logia users can change their bodies to follow the nature of their Devil Fruit powers. So a kizaru can turn into light, a smoker can turn into smoke and a crocodile can turn its body into sand.
As you can see, it's hard to lose someone when you can't touch them. Luffy could punch Kizaru as hard as he could, but the punch would just slip through his body and cause no damage. That being said, this does not mean that Logia users are invincible. As we've seen throughout the series so far, they're definitely beatable. Here are some ways to defeat Logia Devil Fall users.

One Piece: The unique dynamic between three sea admirals
The relationship between the three sea admirals is actually more chaotic than it seems.
Throw them into the sea
Enemy of nature
No matter what type of devil fruit someone has eaten, no matter how strong it makes them, every devil fruit user has one weakness: the sea. Devil fruit users are considered beings who defy the laws of nature and disrupt the balance of the world. So the mother of natural elements i.e. sea rejects them completely. This means that the moment a Devil Fruit user comes in contact with the sea, they will lose their Devil Fruit power. Not only that, their energy will be completely drained, leaving them unable to move their muscles.
That's why one of the best strategies for fighting loggia users, or Devil Fruit users in general, is to find ways to throw them overboard. If this is not possible, throwing a bucket of seawater over their bodies should render them useless for at least two seconds. When done correctly, this simple strategy should be strong enough to disable a Devil Fruit user.
“All those forces represent many branches of humanity's future. But that unnatural state is abhorred by the sea, Mother Nature.”
– Vegapunk, Chapter 1069
Using Seastone
The bigger the ocean, the more wars can and will happen where there is no access to ocean water. So does that mean you can't use seawater to deal with those pesky Devil Fruit users? Not really. Even if you are physically far from the ocean, there are still ways to harness the ocean's influence. One thing that allows you to do that is season.
What is Cystone?
Cystone is an extremely rare natural material that occurs naturally deep in the ocean – albeit only in one place. It is one of the hardest materials on the planet. It is also said that a pure sea stone can be as hard as a diamond. But the most important aspect of sea stone is that it is basically the embodiment of the sea. This means that for Devil Fruit users, touching a sea stone is like touching the ocean. As a result, Sea Stone can easily weaken every devil fruit user.
Cystones as tools and weapons
Since seastone is very effective against devil fruit users, there are many people in the series who use weapons made from seastone. Most notable among them is smoking and his infamous jitte. He has used this weapon to capture many Devil Fruit users. Since the smoker is actually a loggia user, he is undoubtedly also affected by sea stone. So he uses special gloves to touch Jitte.
In addition to weapons, world governments have been shown to use sea stones as tools, most notably as handcuffs. Once a devil fruit user is restrained with a sea stone handcuff, they are basically no different than a regular human. This special handcuff allows the World Government to impel down some of the most powerful and dangerous criminals.

One Piece: The Sea Kings – Secrets of the Guardians of the Grand Line
Sea Kings have played an interesting role throughout A Piece's history. Here's a closer look at these misunderstood creatures.
Match the nature of Logia
While the first two methods mentioned above are rather straightforward, these last two methods are not so much. Pulling them off requires a high-level of skill and a bit of luck. The first uses the laws of nature against those pesky logia users, while the second is extremely difficult to learn.
Obey the laws of nature
As mentioned in the previous section, a Logia user can alter their body to follow the nature of the Devil Fruits they have consumed. A light man is light, and an ice man is ice. Needless to say, when they transform into their respective elements, they also acquire the qualities of that element. Fire will generate heat, and ice will reduce the temperature of its surroundings.
This makes Logia users very powerful, but it's also something that can be used against them. You see, every element has its counter: water puts out fire, and wind blows smoke. So in a fight against a Logia user, try to find a natural counter to their element. Luffy used this strategy to his advantage twice in the series.
The crocodile and the anel
Two great examples of this tactic are when Luffy goes up against Crocodile and Enel. Because crocodile is made of sand, it is very weak against water. After all, when you pour water on a pile of sand, it will immediately absorb the water and clump. So when Luffy poured water on his hand, he could easily hit the crocodile.
As for Enel, he is basically lightning in human form. Lightning can stun every living and inanimate object, making Enel the best of almost everyone else on the planet. Unfortunately for him, he fights someone who is the embodiment of rubber, a material that cannot conduct electricity. It's more luck than a strategy, but as you can see, the principle still stands.
Haki-infused attacks
Attacking the “true” bodies of Devil Fruit users
As we've already discussed, fighting a Logia user is challenging because you can't touch them. Except for special and extremely rare materials like the aforementioned sea stone, there is basically nothing in this world that can touch them. However, there is a skill that can be learned that allows a Logia user to touch their actual body. That skill is called Haki. To be more specific, armament hockey.
Many people think that Armament Hockey can only make your limbs or your arms tough and strong. That is not true at all. Armament Haki allows its user to touch the Devil Fruit user's actual body. This means that it doesn't matter what kind of elements logia users turn into, an Armament Haki user can always attack their true body. As if that's not amazing enough, this principle also works when you coat your weapons with Armament Hockey. This is why the “Dark King” Silver Reilly can easily counter Kizaru's light kicks with his sandals and parry Kizaru's light sword with a regular sword.
“So that's the Dark King. I haven't seen anyone who can stop Kizaru!”
-Sentomaru, Chapter 512
The fact that powerful abilities, such as Logia-type Devil Fruits, can be removed using various methods is a testament to fairness. a piece power system. No matter how powerful a character is, with the right tools, the right techniques, and the right tactics, they can always be defeated.
