TEHRAN: Iran said Saturday it expects Lebanon's Tehran-backed Hezbollah group to strike deep inside Israel and will no longer be limited to military targets after Israel killed a Hezbollah military commander. Hezbollah has been exchanging fire almost daily with the Israeli army, targeting military positions along the border, after its Palestinian ally Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, sparking the war in Gaza. But a strike claimed by Israel in a crowded residential area in south Beirut changed the calculation, Iran's mission to the United Nations said.
