As many fans expected, Loki's Devil Fall turned out to be a dead fall, but the classification of this Devil Fall is rather interesting. Loki's fruit is technically a legendary Joan-type Devil Fruit, called the Ryu Ryu no Mi model Nidhog. This devil fruit is said to be a legendary fruit and a national treasure of Elbaf, meaning it has been in the country for centuries. It is said that in the past, the God of War of Elbaf had the power of the Nidhog Devil Fruit, and he also possessed the Ice Squirrel Ratatoskar. The God of War was so powerful that he could face even Sun God Nik.

At the same time, in Norse mythology, Nidhogg is said to be crouching at the roots of the Yggdrasil tree. Quite frankly, Oda cleverly draws a parallel between the two, and as such, Nidhog suits him.

It is also said that Ratatoskr, the ice squirrel, is the messenger of Nidhogg in Norse mythology. Once again, Loki having the power of Ragnir, who is actually a squirrel, also fits thematically here. Nidhog brings great destruction, and Loki, the god of war in that sense is also a perfect fit. Oda carefully prepared the perfect Devil Fruit for Loki, and its powers are also phenomenal.
