How to play New Year's Treasure

Where to get New Year's Treasure Pixaxes

If you're familiar with the special events in Monopoly Go, then you won't be a stranger. Collect New Year's Treasure Pickaxes from other events Takes place in Monopoly Go when the New Year's Treasures program is active. There are many ways to get those precious pickaxes. We've provided a breakdown of where to get pickaxes below:

• Participate in primary programs. Basically, there are two types of events, one of them is the banner event. These last for two to three days. Their requirements range from collecting tokens to landing on specific tiles. When there is a Treasure Event, (such as the New Year's Treasure Event), pickaxes will be offered as a milestone reward.
• Get involved with leaderboard tournaments. The second type of event you have access to is the tournament style of event. These almost always land you on railroad tiles, and likewise provide you with opportunities to earn more pickaxes.
• Complete your daily tasks. Every day, at 8am, you will be given three tasks (they unlock sequentially). These range from passing go landmarks to upgrades. While the Treasures event is active, you'll earn Pickaxes for each task you complete (as well as dice and cash prizes).
• Claim your Monopoly Go Store prizes. You can get these rewards every eight hours. When the Treasures event is active, you will be able to get pickaxes from it.

• Finally, you can actually find the pickaxes in the treasure event.

Use Pickaxes to find prizes

Now that you're equipped with a steady supply of pickaxes, it's time to dig. Once you start the New Year's Treasure program, you will encounter a grid of sand and stones. Above this grid is an outline of the item(s) you are after. Each pickaxe you use will clear a tile. Naturally, you need to study that outline and choose carefully which category to clear.

Treasures will vary in size and shape – just like grids. Your goal is to dig them all up so you can progress to the next stage. You've only got until January 4 to progress through the levels. So, you want to earn as many rewards as possible – as quickly as possible.

But it is not all for naught; You will be well rewarded. This is a great chance to snag stickers so you can fill up your sticker album. You'll also get a stack of dice, and you'll have the chance to claim some pretty snazzy, unique prizes. It includes a shield and a token.
