Why Apex Legends Shouldn't Walk Back Its Support Changes
Season 23 of Apex Legends led the meta in favor of support-class Legends, which Respawn shouldn't be in a hurry to reverse.
According to Respawn, a new update has been implemented in the battle royale on January 16. Among the changes, several lobby issues were fixed, including voice and text chat not working as intended and visual issues related to PC lobbies. The update also fixed a gameplay issue where Lifeline's tactical drone would reveal Mirage while hiding. This was a potentially huge deal since Mirage's cloaking ability was buffed in the mid-season update, and Lifeline is currently one of the most picked legends in the game. This means that a potentially game-ruining condition can pop up again and again before it's fixed.
Apart from these changes, the new update addressed some cosmetics issues Apex Legends. Based on the patch notes, reactive skins should now work as intended, as there was previously a bug that caused VFX to not display correctly after switching guns. The developer also revealed that the Attrition G7 Scout skin has been temporarily removed from the game. Unfortunately, the return date was not noted, as the bug is being dealt with.
While these minor updates are good news for players experiencing issues, the community is also looking forward to what's coming down the Respawn pipeline. While fans still have almost a month left for the release of season 24 Apex LegendsRespawn recently unveiled some of its more immediate plans. January 21st, Apex Legends passing with Final fantasy 7 rebirth Lunar rebirth as collection event. It will bring cosmetics themed around the Square Enix game and a prestige skin for the alter. Additionally, Materia Hop-Ups are returning to Rift Relics and Buster Sword is making a return with R2R5.
Hopefully, these future changes will improve the experience for players who are dissatisfied with the current situation Apex Legends. With the game's player count on platforms like Steam dwindling in recent months, the developer is looking for ways to bring players back.
