The latest live-service title to be taken over by cheaters and hackers is Embark Studios' evacuation shooter, ARC Raiders. The title has become widely popular in the gaming community since its launch last October, which means it has also attracted the attention of cheat providers and hackers. Since Embark has been on Christmas break for the past few weeks, fans are eager to hear how the studio plans to address the issue. Now, in a new statement on the official ARC Raiders Discord, a community manager, has stated that the studio has seen discussions surrounding the topic of cheating and is taking the issue very seriously.

“Over the next few weeks, we are implementing significant changes to our rules and deploying new detection mechanisms to identify and remove fraudsters,” Embark said. The statement continues that Embark will also update its anti-cheat systems for improved detection and banning. It also touched on the widely controversial out-of-bounds glitch ARC Raiders Players have been keeping up for weeks now, stating that there will be new client-side fixes specifically aimed at fixing the glitch.

Finally, the studio also plans to implement new tools specifically for streamers to help mitigate stream sniping. While this isn't something the everyday player should worry about, popular content creators like TheBurntPeanut, Shroud, TimTheTatMan, and many others have expressed their frustration with constant stream snipers ruining the fun. East Counter strike and brave Pro Shroud also threatened Embark, saying the studio has no control over its game, calling on the developers to address the cheating problem in the next week or so, or risk losing high-profile streamers to other games.

Thankfully, with the new year now in full swing, it looks like Embark is finally back in the office and has set some big goals to fight the thugs over the next few weeks. The studio also recently revealed its plans for some big balance adjustments in the next one ARC Raiders Update, as both Trigger Ned and Stitcher are getting nerfs in the patch. Embark also wants to address the issue with players abusing the macro as a way to shoot Kettle at a higher rate of fire than is humanly possible. While the team has outlined some adjustments coming in the update, there is still no confirmed release date for the patch. However, Embark recently said it will release new updates on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays, which means the first patch of 2026 could arrive on January 13.
