Arc Raiders is finally Nerfing trigger Nades

Arc Raiders has plenty of tools and weapons for players to use out in the field, whether they're meant to take down machines, or shoot your fellow teammates in the back in an act of gratuitous brutality. However, there is one weapon that has proven to be more controversial than most, and that is the ever-popular trigger knots.

Since launch, Trigger Nades has divided opinion greatly, with some claiming they're completely exposed to the game's detriment, and the “get good” crowd in its usual position that it's a skill issue and others need to adapt. No matter your side of the argument, these trigger nades are being complained about because of their large damage, blast radius, and lack of delay.

They are so controversial that many are calling for nerfs to these things, the weapons are currently being called “comically game breaking”. Of course, if Ark Raiders was purely a PvE game this wouldn't really be that much of a problem, but unfortunately, it isn't. Thankfully, Embark Studios is taking notes, and a nerf is on the way.

Arc Raiders players assume the game will “suck” without all those rats and saddies you hate.

A little PvP is never a bad thing if you want a stress relieving shooter.

First shared by Ark Raiders Intel on Twitter, one of the game's community managers on its official Discord claims the team is “looking into some nerfs”, and that Trigger Neds are on the menu. Unfortunately, there are no updates on when this set of nerfs is going to land, but this is confirmation that Trigger Nades is being looked at.

Unfortunately, it's not mentioned whether the nerf to Trigger Nades affects everything, or when used against fellow players. Of course, the problem is that they are very powerful in PvP, so having them do less damage against AI enemies isn't going to be very good in my opinion. We'll have to see when the nerfs drop, and whether the risk of the trigger being nudged decreases.
