Ark Riders politely line up for their turn in the hidden bunker

Going to the top in Arc Raiders is absolute chaos. You never know when an arc might sneak up on you, a rat might attack you, or you might die because of your own stupidity. While this is true for every multiplayer shooter, there is another side to Ark Raiders. A large part of the community strictly follows the PvE path.

This means not shooting other players, helping them with enemy arcs, handing out extra blueprints, and most importantly, dispatching PvPers en masse. While such etiquette exists in various games, you may find something not often seen in games: players politely lining up for their turn at a hidden bunker console.

Single file, raider!

The Hidden Bunker is a map mode in Arc Raiders that requires you to interact with several antenna dishes on the map and then download the data through the console. Activating the dishes is just a button press, the data takes time to download, the player needs to stand close to the console.

Just because machines take over, doesn't mean attackers have to act like animals. So, don't be surprised to see a single file queue when you go to the Hidden Bunker console, as if it were an ATM. It's not like they have to worry about killer robots or missing the only way back to civilization.

Arc Raiders was reportedly made in just three years, with a budget of $75 million

That's a relatively small budget for a massively popular game.

Unfortunately, this makes them great targets for stray PvP players who might accidentally end up in the lobby. A few explosives and they can make more bank than they ever did. But that's the beauty of these PvE lobbies. Players excel at identifying criminals and dispatching them together.

Frankly, it's nice to see such manners in a game that literally allows you to kill other players and steal their hard-earned loot. We all want what's in the hidden bunker, and if we cooperate a little, we can all win.
