When can we expect a Black Flag remake?
Insider Tom Henderson claimed late last year that the Black Flag remake was “well into development” and targeting a November 2025 release date, but he also said that Shadow's first delay shook up Ubisoft's roadmap.
Henderson also claimed it was developed on an upgraded Anvil engine.
Given that Shadows was delayed again just six days ago, it's unclear how far back the Black Flag remake might have been pushed back. 2026 now seems a safe bet, but it's entirely speculative – we'll just have to wait and see.
Shadows is now planning to launch on March 20, so maybe we'll find out about the alleged Black Flag remake soon. However, with expansion already in the works, the spotlight will likely remain on Yasuke and Nao for a while.
