Call of Duty Black Ops 6: 6 Cool New Features
These are some of the best new features in Call of Duty Black Ops 6.
Sniper rifles in Black Ops 6 are more unwieldy than in previous titles, with generally slower aim-down sighting speeds, and more difficulty focusing when aiming down sights. This, along with the flinch that players get from shooting while scoped, makes sniper rifles a difficult weapon class to use. Along with all that, the SVD exacerbates these problems due to its semi-automatic nature, with lots of recoil and slow recoil reset time, making accuracy very difficult. The damage, while high at range, is often inconsistent at long ranges and makes it difficult to kill quickly.

The LW3A1 Frostline is inspired by the real-life L115, pictured in Call of Duty First serialized as L96A1 black ops the game In that game, however, Frostline's counterpart was incredibly damaging, unlike Frostline. Instead, the Frostline is a fast-firing, easy-to-handle bolt-action sniper rifle that deals less damage but is faster overall. Players unlock the LW3A1 Frostline by default, giving the weapon plenty of time to level up.
The LW3A1 Frostline excels as a fast sniper, dealing less damage overall but boasting a faster fire rate than its bolt action counterpart, and faster ADS (Target Below Sight) speed. It's a one-shot kill in the torso but has some damage at range, making it somewhat inconsistent. It excels at building up even more for speed, using the laser as well as the rapid-fire ammo attachment to eliminate initial ADS sway.
What the Frostline lacks in damage, it makes up for in speed and handling, making it even more deadly in the hands of a quick-scoper looking to get up close with sniper rifles. The Frostline's major downside is its lack of accuracy and its damage drop-off, meaning it's not as solid as the LR 7.62 when engaging at range, forcing players into a more aggressive playstyle.

The LR 7.62 sniper rifle suffers a bit from its latest unlock, meaning players will have less time to level it up if they opt for prestige and use their unlock tokens on something else. That being said, players can earn the Onyx Echo Blueprint for the LR 7.62 early in the campaign, as a reward for completing the missions “Hunting Season” and “The Cradle”. This blueprint will permanently unlock LR 7.62, meaning it's much more accessible than it initially appears. The LR 7.62 has high damage at range but suffers from a slow base ADS speed and rate of fire.
Despite the weaknesses of the LR 7.62's base variation, due to its high base damage, it definitely has a high capacity ceiling. This, when combined with the attachment, makes the LR 7.62 the most consistent and lethal sniper rifle. Black Ops 6.
