Satisfactory has more than a few vehicles on offer, and most of them are making your life easier to scale. While most take some time to unlock, they are worth the investment and are more or less essential to building an efficient and working factory.
That said, not all vehicles are created equal. Most of them are built to serve a specific purpose, and at their highest level, there are quite a few different vehicles that you will find yourself using. But initially, you'll unlock something that more or less gets upgraded versions of itself over time.
6 Factory cart
The Factory Cart is definitely a limited-use vehicle, but it does the job well, it's meant to be done. It's a small thing, with minimal inventory space and an inability to drive well over uneven ground without losing much, if not all, control.
But, it's not really for all of them. The factory cart is there to get you from one end of your man-made factory to the other, over surfaces and through tight spaces. And at this job, the factory cart excels. It's one of those vehicles that you become attached to over time, without realizing it, like a friend.
5 tractor
The tractor is one of the earliest vehicles you can unlock in the game, and while it eventually lags behind the ones you get later, it will come in handy when you get it. It doesn't have a huge inventory, but especially early on, it will be more than enough for your needs.
Overall, the tractor is cheap and reliable. It can't do everything other vehicles can do, but it does it consistently. More difficult terrain is not much of a problem, and it eventually gets from point A to point B. If you are not in a hurry, you will vibe well with the tractor.
4 the truck
The truck is essentially a direct upgrade from the tractor in every department. It's got a very large list and so is the all-terrain, although its large size, especially with the big wheels, enables it to have an easier time in more difficult-to-traverse areas.
That's not to say the truck outshines everything else, just that it's a great middle-of-the-road option once you've unlocked it. There's no real reason to go back to tractors, but there are nicer vehicles as well, which we'll see in a minute.
3 the investigator
Explorer is perfect for what its name says: exploration. It is a most enjoyable vehicle to drive around with some good speed but some good all-terrain capabilities. It will transport you around your world in style, allowing you to scout the resource nodes you need, and set up those more permanent transport routes back and forth.
The Explorer has limited capacity for hauling, but in that regard the truck is surprisingly advanced. You're not going to unlock it until you get some time, but once you do, you'll be zooming back and forth across your world in no time.
2 drone
The last two vehicles on this list are both excellent at what they do in terms of a certain function; A drone is rated where it is only because it's not going to do as much, consistently, as another vehicle. That being said, it's a great option for landing small amounts of hard-to-get resources on any terrain.
It doesn't really matter what the drone has to cross, because it's flying over the ground and not above it. It can cross mountains as easily as lakes, and anything in between. It doesn't have a particularly high inventory size, but it can be trusted with things that need good care.
1 the train
The train surpasses all other ground vehicles in terms of carrying capacity and stability, as well as power efficiency. Due to the nature of the train, it is the least active and takes more setup than anything else. But once you keep track, you don't have to worry about this stuff.
The train also has a pretty outrageous carrying capacity. It's going to take a lot of resources to set up, and a lot more to go, but once it's set up, you'll be able to reap great rewards from its stops along the way. For connecting remote resource nodes and small factories to big ones, there is no better option than train.
