Treyarch Removes Blackheart As Black Ops 7 Season 1 Begins
Shortly after the start of Season 1, Treyarch Studios mysteriously removed Blackheart from the game Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Map rotation. Unfortunately, there's no word on when this will be added to the game, as the statement only says that it will return in an upcoming update. Season 1 just launched today, December 4th, so it could be at least a few days before the next update is ready to be deployed by Treyarch.
It's currently unclear what the issue in question was, but fans don't seem happy about the map's temporary removal. In response to the post above, one user said that Blackheart was their “favorite map” and questioned what the problem was, since the map has been “good” since it launched with the game on November 14th. Another user said, “BRUHUH?!? One of the best maps ever?!?” clearly showing their dismay at its removal.
The good news is that Season 1 is loaded with content, meaning players have plenty of new maps to check out while Treyarch tackles the Blackheart issue. Three new maps and a remastered classic joined the shooter with Season 1 on December 4, and there's more to come with next month's mid-season update. For now, however, players can jump into Destiny, Utopia, Odysseus, or Standoff, the latter of which is a remaster of the classic map. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

While some fans hated the close-quarters combat the map offered, others loved it for leveling up weapons and unlocking camos, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see it return.
