Gearbox software revealed the new fate of Kerish leather Border 4 Players, but before it can be earned, the community must complete a challenge event. After teasing the story pack in February, Gearbox revealed the upcoming content in full at a new DevCast event. In addition to the new Vault Hunter C4SH, the expansion content will lean into the horror genre, taking place in the shattered remains of the moon Elpis. Legacy characters like Ellie, Pickle, Crazy Earl, and Mancubus Bloodtooth are making a return, with creative director Josh Jeffcoat teasing even more for players to discover. In the meantime, Gearbox continues to hand out free gifts to its community.

Meanwhile, the gearbox continues to give Border 4 Players get free cosmetics through the SHiFT system. Like the past Border 4 Similar to the previous community challenges released for Valentine's Day, Gearbox is giving players the chance to unlock the fate of Kerish skins for vault hunters. However, the gearbox does not transfer leather for free. To fully unlock the skin, players will have a collective loot of 1.5 million legendary weapons and items from March 12 to Sunday, March 15. Once the challenge is successful, players can visit Gearbox's SHiFT website to redeem the code, which will send the costume to the linked account. The challenge can be completed on all platforms Border 4 Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It is not known how long the code will be active, but a lot Border 4 Cosmetic SHiFT codes are set for 2030, so it's very likely that Lock of the Carish will be set as well.

Border 4 has evolved in many ways since its launch back in September 2025. Outside of the holiday content, fans have seen the release of two bounty packs and a free update that brought the first invincible boss called Bloomreaper. Recently, the Pearlescent rarity was also added to the game, giving fans a new level of loot to find in the game. Thanks to A Border 4 2026 roadmap, fans have a good idea of when more new content should arrive later this year.

So far, Gearbox has confirmed 3 more bounty packs, another Invincible boss, as well as a second story pack, but details and release information are scarce.
