There's no denying that Borderlands 4 has been a success. Whether it's the review score or the sales numbers, this is definitely a legendary drop. It's had its fair share of hiccups, though, with performance issues, invisible walls, and a clumsy UI annoying players, but all of that can still be pushed to the side. However, fans were really disappointed that the Kairos Halloween show was scary.
While in Gearbox's own words it was a “mini event”, the build up to it led players to believe that there would be some more content than orange in the sky and some skins and weapons. With the lack of any proper Halloween-themed events, it seems that some fans are going back to Borderlands 3 for their fill of spooky content.
Borderlands 3's Halloween event was pretty cool
Borderlands 3 wasn't really the best game in the series. In fact, some would go so far as to say it was the worst. A pair of annoying antagonists, Claptrap makes us eye-roll at every turn, and a bland story makes us forget the title. However, its Bloody Harvest Halloween event gave those who stuck around a lot of new content, such as enemies, activities, side-missions, and a new debuff called Terror.
Over on Reddit, Borderlands fans couldn't help but talk about how great the Borderlands 3 event was, especially considering what Borderlands 4 got. A post by UltraSuperDonut on Reddit revealed that they booted Borderlands 3 just to experience a cool Halloween-themed event. Comments also praised the amount of stuff the gearbox held in it.
Along with praising how much content Bloody Harvest includes, fans also noted that the mini-maps and overall UI for Borderlands 3 were much better than the current title. Hopefully, Gearbox is already working to improve those aspects as it adds more content to Borderlands 4.
Horrors of Kairos was supposed to be a minor event, but the devs may have messed around with some new skins and weapons as 'events'.
