The Boruto The series continues to do an impeccable job of building the character of Boruto Uzumaki. He initially appeared spoiled, arrogant and annoying, but the current Boruto has undergone a drastic maturation. Instead of running away from responsibility and becoming self-centered, Boruto now shoulders the burden of saving the shinobi world without hesitation in Naruto and Sasuke's absence.

Pulling out Sasuke's Rinnegan

Boruto's biggest regret in life is hurting his master, Sasuke Uchiha. At some point, he lost control of his body to Momoshiki Otsutsuki, who attacked Sasuke unexpectedly. Worse, Momoshiki used Boruto's body to take out Sasuke's Rinnegan, leaving him haunted by trauma and guilt.

Nevertheless, Boruto is the only ninja in the world to achieve this feat despite Momoshiki's control over his actions. Despite being deeply saddened to see Sasuke without his Rinnegan, it is impressive how easily Borushiki defeats Sasuke. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that Sasuke will regain his Rinnegan in the manga.

Saving Sarada from Hidari

Hidari is a Shinju clone derived from Sasuke Uchiha. His target is Sarada, so he came to Konoha with Jura to devour Sarada and satisfy his instincts. Since Hidari is a Shinju clone of Sasuke, he can somehow use his abilities to share a similar look. During Hidari's attack on Konoha, he almost ate Sarada until Boruto arrived just in time to deal with him. Boruto and Sarada fight Hidari together. However, the best part of the fight was when Boruto hit Hidari directly with the Rasengan Uzuhiko. The attack may have lost a bit of its full destructive potential due to Boruto's incomplete execution, but it was still powerful enough to slow Hidari down.

Mamushi is another Shinju clone who is currently terrorizing Konoha with her division abilities. His clones are scattered around Konoha, trying to find Eida. However, Boruto, as Konoha's other shadow guardian, arrives just in time to stop Mamushi from reaching Eida and/or killing anyone.

At this point, Boruto has earned Momoshiki's consent to use his full power without fear of losing control. Therefore, Boruto is free to use Momoshiki's abilities, including his Byakugan. For the first time in the series, Boruto activates Momoshiki's Byakugan against Mamushi, requiring him to neutralize the clones as quickly as possible.

Boruto has a love-hate relationship with Kashin Koji. They get off to a rough start as Koji provokes Boruto by intentionally hurting his friends. Not only did Koji burn Konohamaru alive, he also immobilized Sarada and Mitsuki in their first encounter. He had no intention of getting on Boruto's good side.

However, that moment pushed Boruto to tap into the power of karma for the first time. Seeing his friends hurt, Boruto took his anger out on Koji, not only absorbing Koji's techniques but returning them with more firepower. This incident caused Koji to step back, shocked by the sheer intensity of Boruto's power.

Overpowering code with Rasengan Uzuhiko

There are different forms of Rasengan Boruto and NarutoBut Uzuhiko is very different from the others. When hit, the effects are so weak that they last until the target dies. Unless Boruto nullifies Uzuhiko's influence, there is no chance of goal recovery and victory.

This is what happened in Konoha's Code after Boruto gave him a taste of the Rasengan Uzuhiko. This was the first time Boruto had taken out Uzuhiko, but the effects on the code were so bad that he began to see the world twist and distort around him. He was so distracted that he couldn't use any techniques to counter Boruto, forcing him into a cornered state.

Lo and behold, Boruto delivers the killing blow to Momoshiki, delivering a giant Rasengan that seals Otsutsuki's fate. He could have accomplished this feat without the help of Naruto, Sasuke, and the other Kages, but the fact that Boruto was the one who dealt the decisive blow spoke volumes of his terrifying potential.
