What's Naoki Hamaguchi pumped about when it comes to the upcoming grand finale of the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy? A lot, really. Here's what we want to hear from the guy who served as co-director for the remake, Rebirth, and the untitled part 3.
There's still a ton of classic FF7 stories to cover, as Rebirth's cliffhanger hits its 60 percent point. Which makes it a much bigger deal when Hamaguchi — allegedly, at least, but it's probably legit — openly reveals which of the myriad remaining sequels he's most excited for players to see…
The real Cloud Strife stands
YouTuber Vinny Vinesauce, who caught the news – linked below – notes that he has close to a million subscribers – claiming to have had breakfast with Hamaguchi while in New York City promoting the Switch 2 port of the latter's FF7 remake. (Which, by the way, looks like a hit.)
Now, I'm going to say it's 100 percent confirmed. But there's a reason I let the title of this article sound so convincing. A major content producer Generally Their good name is not at stake for such an easily verified lie. Besides, Vinny Vinesauce has a history of going places, seeing things, knowing people; A whole pie, they say. So, yes. We're 98 percent confirmed until further notice:
A Twitter user named @clotiOTP noticed what was going on and cited Vinny Vinesauce's claim. Vinesauce notes that it was through an interpreter, but it seems clear enough. “He said, um, Cloud found himself with Tifa's help,” YouTuber Hamaguchi replied when asked what he was looking forward to getting into. [with] Part 3.” In fact, Hamaguchi says this has already been handled.

While the excitement for Cloud x Tifa shippers can be seen everywhere, this is the most poignant part of the game for me on a more holistic level. Claude's breakdown in the lifestream, and attempts by a friend and/or lover to “find” the real him, are not only beautifully written; It is also very effective for anyone struggling with similar mental health issues. Final Fantasy 7 goes for gold with this sequence, and seeing the entirety of Claude's heroism come to life is a well-earned spectacle.
