While he's not the first new addition to Stardew Valley's roster of eligible bachelors around Pelican Town, Shane has been added in version 1.1 of the iconic farming sim to bring the number of single men in town up to six, Clint may be the one that surprises fans the most.
We haven't often heard calls to be able to romance the town blacksmith who fixes on bartender Emily, but ConcernedApps will implement Clint as a romance option when version 1.7 is released. I'm happy for the new material though…Clint? Really? I'd rather date almost anyone else!
approx Anyone, that is – the only man in town I take Clint to is Pierre, who sucks.

the dwarf
He is a neat little boy
In the lead up to Clint's announcement as a bachelor we had a lot of weird concepts for singles in Stardew Valley, but the dwarf was one that I particularly laughed at, because people thought to include a literal inhuman caveman before including a core member of the community.
Stardew Valley: Every farm map, ranked
Stardew Valley is a charming, fun indie game that you can spend hours on. You'll be given a few farming map options, and we've ranked them to help.
He can do the same kind of content work, he's learned and foreign enough that he speaks a language you have to teach yourself to speak, and at least if nothing else, he's not too weird about local women.

George
Anything should happen to Evelyn, that is
Evelyn is practically the grandmother of the entire town, at the same time looking after her wheelchair-using husband George, but the couple have been getting up there in age for a long time. No one lives forever, and while Evelyn's time must come first, many people were willing to match her with the oldest man in town instead.
Even in the lead up to Clint's announcement there were mentions here and there of a golden years poly affair. What if I was given a choice between George and Clint? Don't call me your wife Alex; Call me your grandma.

Mr. Qi
It's no secret why he's so good
Mr. Qi is one of the most enigmatic and enigmatic characters in Stardew Valley, often having you solve puzzles that lead to a full season of work, sending you on some pretty engaging end-game quests, and generally raising eyebrows in the community.
But I saw people tinkering with him when ConcernedApe said we'd get a new romance option in Stardew Valley 1.7, and it looks like you can do a lot of weird stuff with him in that regard. Finding solutions to earn hearts? See him move to Pelican Town a long time ago? I would be interested in knowing more about her than Clint.

Gus
I'd rather have a tall glass of Goss
While I can never forgive myself for reading both of us by typing that subtitle in there, I won't apologize for putting Gus, the owner of the Stardrop Saloon, on the list of Stardew Valley characters that date earlier than Clint.
Stardew Valley Collabs we love to see
Why should Nikki have all the fun?
Gus is always nice when you talk to him, and we see him as a giver in every respect: he opens a saloon to the townspeople when the green rain comes, and he offers some help to Linus when he catches him in the trash. What has Clint done besides visit that saloon to see his bartender looking disinterested? Please give me another bartender before you give me that weirdo.

Willie
The good old golden years
Willy was one of the most popular choices I saw when fans discussed who could be the new bachelor in Stardew Valley, with many of us longing for a quiet life by the ocean with a warm-hearted sea dog.
He stays out of the way most of the time, he's a hard worker, and he lives a peaceful life by the sea. Willy is the one who helps you out on Ginger Island when you start going there, and he takes you back and forth on command when the jungle calls. What does Clint do besides show up at the resort talking about how he didn't help open it and how he forgot to cut his toenails?
3
Demetrius
Robin can do better anyway
Stardew Valley fans have been desperate for Robin and Demetrius to break up for a full decade now that the game has been out, with the many heart-to-heart events between the two providing a glimpse into the mundane parts of domestic life, which can sometimes include conflict.
I usually take Demetrius to free up Robin to date someone cooler than him, but Demetrius has his charms too. I respect his curiosity in green rain, and he is always willing to help you get an early start by turning a cave in your farm into a community center. Clint never could.
2
Linus
Get that man home!
Linus was also included in a survey of bachelors in Pelican Town that ConcernedApp was considering running when it came time for a new romance option, and he took third place on the roster, with many people feeling strangely enamored by the wild man.
He lives in a tent on a mountain, and most of us want the option of getting Linus a house, like we upgrade the house for Penny and Pam after you've earned enough gold, but if we're not going to get a charitable option that doesn't involve kissing at the altar, Linus, I do.
1
Wizard
Who should it be?
The Wizard took second place in a poll of bachelors we'd like to date, and I've always been strangely fascinated by him. He's connected to the arcane and clearly knows his stuff when it comes to languages and buildings alike, so a wizard can be a good romance option.
My biggest problem is that he took a very clear second place in that poll, earning five times as many votes as Clint! ConcernedApe had to troll us when he decided on Clint over Wizard, but I never thought we'd get another Bachelor, so maybe Wizard's heart is still on the line.
9 Stardew Valley features we need in a haunted chocolatier
The Haunted Chocolatier is making its way closer, and we can't wait to see what ConcernedApe has in store for us this time around!
