JEDDAH: Sudanese civilians are facing “horrendous levels of violence” in the country's 15-month civil war, medical charity Medecins Sans Frontières said in a report published on Monday. “The price paid by civilians in this war qualifies the conflict between the warring factions as a war on the people of Sudan,” the charity said. In April 2023, fighting broke out between the regular army led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces led by his former deputy Mohammad Hamdan Dagalo, commonly known as Hemedati.
