He eventually grew out of his ego, which made him a more layered character. However, he can still be annoying AngerJust for a completely different reason. Atreus and other companions proved to be very helpful in God of War Ragnarok

A new option called “Reduced Puzzle Hints” was added to the game, making companions like Atreus, Freya, and Mimir much less cheerful when dealing with obstacles. RagnarokThe characters are great, but their eagerness to help Kratos get from point A to point B can be downright annoying at times. They were simply too busy, so “less puzzle clues” were welcome. It won't make friends completely cool, but it's a small change that makes a big difference.

Atreus can be very helpful, but the sons of Sparta's Deimos aren't really useful

Don't get me wrong. I love that Deimos is inside Sons of Sparta. Kratos' relationship with his brother is a fascinating path to go down, but most of the game left me wondering where Deimos was or why he wasn't helping. In Deimos Sons of Sparta is a bittersweet version of the character, as it shows what he was like before he was tortured by Thanatos for years. He is a headstrong Spartan with a good heart who wants to do the right thing. So, why is he sitting there?

For the most part, Demos either does nothing to help or is nowhere to be found until checkpoints and cutscenes bring him into existence. At the end of the Ioke boss fight near the beginning of the game, Demos saves Kratos from certain death in a scripted sequence, but he's not really useful as an actual companion. For example, in Sons of SpartaIn the Alastor boss fight, Deimos hacks and slashes where he can, but it's nothing major. His presence in battle doesn't feel as game-changing as Atreus'. It just sounds like he's going through the motions. Sometimes he'll even be on the opposite side of the boss stage, doing nothing short of Kratos fighting for his life. Personally, I am no friend of one's delusions.

Despite his flaws as a friend, Deimos at least adds more to Sparta's story.

Deimos may not be the most supportive brother, but it's great to get a glimpse of what life was like for him and Kratos before everything fell apart. As excited and emotional as some Sons of SpartaAs moments may be, it's hard to ignore the tragedy along the way. every god of war The game has expanded Kratos' lore, and Sons of Sparta Could be one of the most bittersweet entries.

Sons of Sparta is a brief treat for the rising god of war cravings
