In response to feedback from ARC Raiders' The first campaign, Embark revealed that it is lowering the stash value threshold for earning permanent skill points during the campaign up to 3 million coins (600k per skill point). Players who reach that 3 million coin threshold will earn 5 permanent skill points on a new character after the campaign departs. While it still sounds like a hefty price for ARC Raiders For players to work towards, this has been reduced from 5 million coins (1 million per skill point), making this goal much more feasible for players who may have been shy of that total before the previous campaign.
ARC Raiders' catch up mechanic
The biggest reason ARC Raiders Players who missed the first campaign will want to participate in the second because of the catch up mechanic Embark is introducing for the second campaign. Players who were not able to accumulate enough stash value prior to Expedition 1 departure have the opportunity to earn skill points they missed during this time. For every additional 300k coins they add to their stash value, they can earn one of the previous 5 skill points during the next campaign. Earning 3 million coins in stash value for Expedition 2 skill points and an additional 1.5 million to unlock all 5 Catch Up skill points can be somewhat challenging, but anyone dedicated to the cause can essentially reap all the benefits even if they missed out on the first expedition.
