While Dispatch is primarily about making the right choices and managing superheroes, romance plays a big role in the story. We all love a good video game romance, and no one will judge you for them (unless you choose the emperor in Baldur's Gate 3). However, for a game with some very good looking characters, there are two options.
Choosing between Blonde Blazer and Invisigal can be difficult, although a vast majority choose the latter. While there's no word on if and when we'll get a second season of the game, fans are starting to voice what they want to see. Romance options are surprisingly the biggest talking point, with fans unsure if they want more in season two.
Should there be more romance options in Dispatch Season 2?
On Reddit, a post by vinthesalamander said that Dispatch doesn't need more romance options. They said that AdHoc should focus more on developing current options and fleshing out other members of the Z-Team. “New romance options are the last thing Season 2 needs,” they said. “They already struggle to juggle two romance options with their handling of Blonde Blazers being criticized, so adding more romance is asking for trouble.”
There were many comments that agreed with the overall sentiment. Perhaps the writing of a potential second season would benefit with fewer romance options to worry about. However, there were also many people who thought that the game should really ramp up the romance options. The name that came up the most was, you guessed it, Malevola.
The fact that Dispatch isn't really a game makes it a contender of the year
Adhoc Games evolves the Telltale formula in some incredible ways with Dispatch.
It seems that many Dispatch players were disappointed to learn that the game's resident muscle mom was not romanceable. Many fans were hoping to get it with Karlach in jean shorts, but unfortunately they didn't get to live up to their expectations. If the game takes place next season, perhaps their dream will come true.
Hopefully, we get another season and the devs figure out a way to give everyone what they want.
