In 2021, Psycho Jump announced that it would be holding an exhibition that would include the covers. Dragon Ball Manga redrawn by other popular mangaka. The exhibition commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Dragon Ball manga.
More than 40 covers have been released so far. With only a handful of spots left, it has been confirmed that the next volume cover will be redrawn by none other than One Piece writer Eiichiro Oda. Oda will work on one of the remaining covers. New Cover Psycho Jump Issue #2 will be released in 2025.

Eiichiro Oda joins the long list
The new covers pay tribute to the work of the late Akira Toriyama. Considered by many to be the herald of modern shonen, Akira Toriyama is a legend in the industry. Many manga have been vocal about the effects of Dragon Ball.
In fact, Akira Toriyama's influence can be found in many new manga. The new covers will be unveiled at the Dragon Ball Super exhibition in Japan.

When did Dragon Ball start?
Akira Toriyama began working on the Dragon Ball series in 1984. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1984 to 1995. Although the manga ended a long time ago, it is still popular around the world. It has sold over 150 million copies, making it the best-selling manga ever.
Dragon Ball has been the recipient of many anime adaptations. The first anime series aired from February 1986 to April 1989. It had 153 episodes. Dragon Ball Z was next in line. The anime adapted the last 325 chapters. Dragon Ball Z began airing in 1989 and ended in 1996. Other anime adaptations include Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball Dama.
The Dragon Ball series has 20 films to its name and an array of video game adaptations, with Dragon Ball Sparking Zero being the most recent.
