Arlong
Was much stronger than Zoro

In particular, Zoro and Sanji excelled against him, however, they both failed. Zoro was inevitably struck by ArlongAnd that was mostly due to the fact that he was no match for her, and he was already carrying serious injuries from his fight against Mihawk. After all, Zoro had lost this fight and could very well have died there if Luffy hadn't saved his life.

of course, Zoro couldn't even scratch Kuma's cyborg bodyAnd that only went to show the difference in terms of overall strength. If Kuma had wanted to, he could have easily killed Zoro right then and there, and it would have been yet another battle that Zoro lost.
