Flooding in Yemen has left 30 people dead and hundreds displaced

Sana'a: A Yemeni official said on Wednesday that 30 people were killed and hundreds displaced after flooding in the southern city of Hodeida following days of heavy rain. Hodeidah Governor Mohamad Kahim told Houthi rebel-controlled Masirah TV that the floods displaced 500 homes. He said that five people are missing. Hodeidah, the southwestern city of Taiz and the northwestern city of Hajjah were hit hard by floods this week during Yemen's ongoing monsoon rains that swept away poorly constructed homes.
