Yotei's Ghost: Legends is set to drop on April 10th for Incredibly Hard Raid, but it won't start with matchmaking and you'll need to either play with three other friends or “coordinate with other community members.”
Although Ghost of Yotei didn't come close to the stacked list of 2025 Game of the Year candidates, it was still a great adventure that many gamers will love. Sucker Punch hasn't let go of Yotei's momentum, as it recently added the successor to the first game's beloved Legends multiplayer mode to the sequel.
Legends seems to be a hit with fans so far, but Soccer Punch has barely scratched the surface of its plans for the mod. It recently confirmed that Legends is getting its first raid on April 10, which will require four players for a “high-end” challenge against the dragon and Lord Saito. As it turns out, three of those players will probably be friends because matchmaking won't exist to begin with.

As reported by GamesRadar+ , Sucker Punch recently announced on Twitter that matchmaking will not be available for raids starting next week, despite requiring four players to complete it. Sucker Punch says the matchmaking mode will be added “in a few weeks after launch,” but has some advice for anyone who can't wait until then.
Since Invasion is “high-level and challenging content”, Sucker Punch encourages players to either invite their friends to participate in the “Ghost fan Discord” to team up with other like-minded players who need partners. Although I'm sure we'd all like to think we could find three other people to participate in the attack, if we were to consider this a 'match'.
It doesn't help that the raid is purposely made a bigger challenge for the most experienced Legends players. If Yotei's multiplayer was as big a deal as other online games, this might not be a big deal, but Legends is mostly made up of a small pool of very dedicated players. It might be worth the wait in matchmaking for that, but at least we know it's coming at some point.
