Hero of Age 1000 is already being Memed

Dragon Ball Project: Age 1000's mysterious trick-stealing ultra OC hero has been dubbed “John Dragon Ball” by fans, though he has more going for him than the blank slates of Xenoverse.

Last week was an all-timer for Dragon Ball fans, as the Zenkidamatsuri festival revealed the franchise's future in every medium. As exciting as it was to confirm a new Dragon Ball Super anime, the real highlight of it all was the announcement of a new game, Dragon Ball Project: Age 1000.

We don't know much about Age 1000 outside of its futuristic setting (which means many assume it's Xenoverse 3), but we do get a good look at who the game's new protagonist looks like. Although we don't know if he's a customizable hero or a set character, that hasn't stopped fans from giving him his own name.

The ultimate OC

Ever since Project: Age 1000 was revealed, its protagonist has been on a rollercoaster of reactions. Some thought he looked incredibly boring and was probably the most typical “cool guy” OC character, while others thought he was really tough as he seemed to know the moves of a Dragon Ball character.

Kakarot's Daima expansion is one of its most unique and interesting, but is let down by how short it is.

As it often does, that mixed reaction has now turned into memes, many of which have dubbed the new hero “John Dragon Ball.” In fact, there's even an entire parody Twitter account dedicated to the new name, which is fitting for such a powerful story with an incredibly epic backstory. And yes, John Dragon Ball has some fancams too.

Other posts are memeing about John's Dragon Ball fit, his iconic standing pose, and comparing him to the fairly common Shalott from Dragon Ball Legends. Oh, and of course you've had tons of posts about how powerful John Dragon Ball is, and how he can beat everyone. You know, typical OC stuff. This is going to sound like a meme for ages 1000, but I'm here for it.
