There are many opportunities in which players are given a choice of how to respond to NPCs Pokemon Scarlet and PurpleWith the vast majority having no real impact on the main story. However, as Pokemon As players take the final few steps on their path to becoming a champion, they will be interviewed by one of the Elite Four and required to answer all questions correctly to avoid failing the champion's evaluation.
Best pokemon scarlet and purple progress order
Despite letting players earn badges in any order, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's lack of level scaling means there's still a perfect order for badges.
Some of the ten questions asked by Rika during the Victory Road Champion Assessment have many correct answers, but most do not. The correct answers to some questions are linked to players' previous answers, so it pays to remember which answers were chosen. Answering a question with an incorrect answer causes players to fail the assessment and have to start from the beginning, so this is important. Pokemon Scarlet and Purple Players are hoping to pass the Champion Assessment the first time they ask to understand the best answers to Rika's questions.

What if you fail the champion's assessment?
If players answer any of Rika's questions incorrectly, they will fail the assessment and be asked to leave. However, they will be able to retake the assessment as many times as they want until they pass it, so there are no long-term consequences for failing. In fact, the only incentive for passing the first time (besides the time saved by doing so) is a unique line of dialogue in which Rika points out that the players passed on their first try and are the first to do so since Nemona.
Gym leaders and types
With three of the ten questions in the Victory Road Champion Assessment centered around each gym leader and the Pokemon they use, some players may benefit from a little refresher. The table below lists each gym, as well as the leader and the type of Pokemon they specialize in. It doesn't matter which gym players choose when answering the fifth question, but they must match the gym leader and type they choose in questions six and seven, respectively, to avoid failure.
