Recently, Yoshihiro Togashi posted an update Confirming the completion of the manuscript for Hunter x Hunter Chapter 420. This isn't the first time Togashi has shared new information about the manga. A few days before the current update, Togashi shared another post in which he confirmed that the manuscripts for four more chapters had been finished.
Despite the completion of the chapters, there has been no statement regarding the return of the Hunter x Hunter manga. Hopefully an announcement will be imminent after the recent news, but it looks like the return is still a few months away.

Given the circumstances, there's no question that Hunter x Hunter will release a new chapter at some point in 2026. The only question is when. Many Hunter x Hunter fans are also eager to see it return to anime.
With the anime's return seemingly one way off, a new Hunter x Hunter game called Nen X Survivor is in development. The game is scheduled for a 2026 release.
