I'm already heartbroken about my shiny Pokemon Legends: ZA Mega Evolution

Although one could argue Pokemon Legends: ZA Not exactly the easiest game in the franchise, I find it pretty straightforward in terms of combat, mechanics, exploration, and whatnot. For this reason, I was shocked by the game's long tutorial, as I felt it was unnecessary, and it restricted access to explore a lot of Lumiose City. As soon as I finished the tutorial, I started looking for my favorite Pokemon, this one in Staryu Pokemon Legends: ZASleep in Wild Zone 2 or Wild Zone 3 at night. Not long after my first few promotion matches, I started experimenting with the game's shiny hunting mechanics, and that's how I found my first shiny – an Alpha Litlio, lying around in Wild Zone 3.

I was extremely happy to find this, and it felt like it was meant to be because Mega Pyror is probably my favorite new Mega Evolution. Pokemon Legends: ZA It's been a great experience for me so far, and I even decided to leave my Amboar behind to make a team with no starters because I desperately wanted Mega Pyror instead. However, the monkey's paw turned.

Shiny Alpha Litlio in Pokemon Legends za

I got shiny inside Pokemon Legends: ZA That I wanted to be my first, and even the most as Alpha, but I just found out that the game is breaking my heart. By then it was clear to me, you won't get all the Mega Stones inside Pokemon Legends: ZA From the get-go, but through story progression, the Stone Emporium, and trading Mega Shards. Unfortunately, Mega Pyroar's Pyroarite is only available during Mission 37, which is the last mission in the game before the post-game content.

How to get every new Mega Evolution and Stone in Pokemon Legends: ZA

To be honest, I was surprised that a Pokemon A game revolving around one of the most beloved gimmicks in the franchise would timegate the Mega Stones, requiring several hours into the story behind the new Mega Evolution's missions, but I wasn't ready for it. Many of the new Mega Evolutions are only available this far into the game, meaning you won't have a full squad of new Megas early on, even though there are 26 of them.

Pokemon Legends: ZA is officially timing its best content for no reason

Pokemon Legends ZA Mega Malamar Trailer Thumb

What this means is that, aside from Eternal Flower Float and Mega Float, Mega Pyror and Mega Malamar are the absolute last new Mega Evolutions you'll unlock in the game, even after Mega Zygarde. It doesn't make sense to me that these new Megas for Pokemon that aren't as popular as the others are post-game only, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I found out.

Story-wise, having Zygarde unlocked at the end makes a lot of sense, and I don't think anyone would have put it in their planned starting lineup. But, the lockdown Pokemon Legends: ZABack Mega Malamar and Pyror to finish the game is just ridiculous, and it makes even less sense considering Malamar's Mega Evolution was probably the most advertised of the bunch.

Pokemon Legends: ZA's Timegated Mega Evolutions is a headscratcher

Likewise, I get it if certain megas need to be timegated for story purposes or just for game balance. Mega Starmie is in the OP Pokemon Legends: ZASo I'm not too mad that it's closed after Mission 34, even if it's one of my favorites and I strongly believe that new Megas should be available soon. But Pyroar, like random Pokemon, is a locked-in headscratcher for the entire game, and it breaks my heart that my first and favorite shiny is only going to be more “valuable” at the end of the game. For example, I would have loved to use Mega Pyroar on my team to take on Mega Beedril as mission 19, but apparently, that wasn't in the cards.
