Dubai: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intercepted a Togo-flagged, UAE-managed production tanker carrying 1,500 tonnes of marine gas oil, British security firm Embrey said on Monday. The vessel was loaded with marine gas oil off the coast of Iraq and was bound for Sharjah in the UAE when it was stopped 61 nautical miles southwest of the Iranian port of Bushehr on Sunday, Embrey said. Embrey added that the incident may not be politically motivated and has not been assessed as a 'war' incident.
