I've played over 80 hours of each Diablo 4 class, and here are my official rankings

A total of 7 playable classes are now available Diablo 4 For players to use, the game offers a variety of playstyles and can be created. I have been playing Diablo 4 From day one, have participated in almost every season, and have about 80+ hours of playtime in each Diablo 4 Class. While the viability of each Diablo 4 While the class varies greatly from season to season, there are some common recurring themes throughout the meta. Throughout my time with the game, I've seen how these classes have changed over time, and there's a pretty clear-cut hierarchy that's evolved over time.

This ranking looks at how the classes have performed in general since their introduction, as well as my own personal experience playing them.

Druid

Despite the top-class build in Diablo 4 Season 10 with the powerful Ravens companion druid, the druid as a whole has weakened somewhat. Leveling up in Druid Diablo 4 It may take some time, as the class doesn't start to shine until players reach the endgame and unlock the Paragon board. Endgame Druid builds can certainly be solid, but getting to that point can be kind of a slog with the class' low early-game damage output.

The best Druid build in Diablo 4

  • fellow druid

  • Boulderstorm Druid

  • Pulverize Druid

Pulverize Druid builds remain the most consistently powerful option for the class, with a solid AoE attack that gets even better with the addition of Rotting Lightbringer Unique. I used an impressive companion druid build in Diablo 4 Season 10, which used the Savagery Chaos Perk to make Ravens' core skill that could be spammed repeatedly. Even without chaos perks, companion druids are still solid options, such as Boulderstorm druids, which saw a glorious day in Season 7, but the combo of Storm and Boulder is pretty devastating even in Season 11.

6

barbarian

Like the Druid, the Barbarians have some pretty high highs combined with moderation. One of my favorite barbarian builds over the seasons is the Hammer of the Ancients build, but there are several barbarian builds that remain meta contenders. The Barbarian class is stepping up again in Season 11, with several great meta options that take advantage of the new Chainscorked Male Unique. However, Barbarian has been in this position before and saw the other end of the spectrum when Overpowered Damage returned in Season 9.

The best barbarian builds in Diablo 4

  • Hammer of the Ancient Barbarians

  • Earthquake savage

  • Lunging Strike Barbarian

Lunging Strike has become the mainstay of the Barbarian class' build options Diablo 4The life of, and ease of use with a high potential roof has become a solid choice in almost every season. Hammer of the Ancients Barbarian is the most fun to play, in my opinion, thanks to its massive AoE damage along with Call of the Ancients Ultimate for a great screen-clearing build. Earthquake Barbarians, and the LeapQuake version, have been huge Diablo 4 Season 11 has been inconsistent thanks to Chainscorge Mail, but in previous seasons.

5

evil

Crooks have a wide range of tools Diablo 4 That allows the class to be very versatile from season to season, even if not every build option is in the meta. My major hangup with Rogue is the number of skills you need to keep in rotation to play the class effectively, making it a tough class for newbies. Diablo 4 Players learn. That said, it has a high skill ceiling and has consistently been one of the better classes in and out of the season.

Best Rogue build in Diablo 4

  • Dance of the Knife Wicked

  • Twisted Blade Wicked

  • Death Trap Rogue

Notable for being one of the wicked Diablo 4Dance of Knives has an excellent one-button build, which is probably the most fun to play. Other Rogue builds are more complex, such as the Death Trap build, which requires the player to manage Rogue's trap skills along with the class' subterfuge skills to support their playstyle. Twisting Blades Rogue dominated the meta in the early seasons Diablo 4And remains a solid choice even in Season 11.

4

magician

However, the class seems to have struggled in the early seasons Diablo 4The Sorcerer has quietly been one of the most consistently powerful classes in recent seasons. Hydra Sorcerer helped elevate Sorcerer's position as Ophidian Iris and Serpentine Aspect kicked off the build up. However, the main drawback that has kept me from using Sorcerer is its glass cannon status, which makes it difficult to survive without serious help.

The best mage build in Diablo 4

  • Hydra Sorcerer

  • Crackling energy magician

  • Chain Lightning Wizard

Hydra Sorcerer has been the go-to build for the past few seasons since Ophidian Iris' Season 9 debut turned Hydra into a core skill with increased damage. Chain Lightning has historically been the best mage build Diablo 4The Axial Conduit Unique has played a major role in its success. Recently, Crackling Energy Sorcerer has gained popularity with Galvanic Azurite greatly buffing Lightning damage.

Diablo 4 Season 11 allows players to hit god rolls that were previously impossible

With changes to its gear upgrading system in Season 11, Diablo 4 players have a chance to hit the jackpot on affixes like never before.

3

Necromancer

In my favorite archetype Diablo franchise is Necromancer, that love is truly blossoming Diablo 2. Before release Diablo 4Of the DLC, I'd say Necromancer is my favorite Diablo 4 Also play class. This is another versatile class with fantastic build options for almost every phase of the game. Minion Necromancer is great for leveling, while endgame builds like Blood Wave Necromancer and Shadowblight Necromancer are consistently at the top of the meta.

Best Necromancer build in Diablo 4

  • Minion Necromancer

  • Shadowblight Necromancer

  • Blood Wave Necromancer

The Necromancer has a high skill ceiling but a low skill floor, and the Minion Necromancer build is the perfect build for players of all skill levels, as players can give their Skeletal Mages, Warriors, and Golems a chance to kill. Once the players arrive Diablo 4Endgame, Shadowblight and Blood Wave make Necromancer come to life. Shadowblight is a crazy key passive that allows stacking Shadow damage to melt enemies quickly, while Blood Wave becomes an AoE threat with Necromancer Kessime's Legacy Unique Pants.

2

Spirit born

First post-launch class for Diablo 4 Vessel of Hate really made a splash when it was first released. Since its release, Spiritborn has been on top Diablo 4 A meta with a range of great build options. Spiritborn is fast, fluid and powerful, making it extremely fun to play. While I favor building myself on Quill Volley Spiritborn, Evade Spiritborn is simpler and more powerful. However, all Spiritborn class Spirit Halls have meta build options that have been viable since the class originally started.

The best soul spawn in Diablo 4

  • Avoid the Spirit

  • Quill Volley Spiritborn

  • Crushing Hand Spirit Birth

Evade Since the Spiritborn requires the player to press the Evade button to spam Thunderpike and melt enemies, it remains the top option in the class' kit. However, Quill Volley made a huge impact on my Vessel of Hatred playthrough and Season 6 endgame push along with the Rod of Kepeleke Unique. Crushing Hand Spiritborn has also climbed its way to being one of the best builds in the class with Season 10 of Hesha e Kesungi to support Gorilla Spirit Hall.

1

Paladin

The latest addition Diablo 4The Co class roster takes the crown as the best class in the game, despite only having one season under its belt. In the lead up to Season 11, the Paladin was the most requested class from the fan base, and Blizzard knocked it out of the park with the addition of the Paladin, creating a versatile yet easy and fun class to play. Now, this may speak to some recency bias, but playing Paladin Diablo 4 Season 11 has been the most fun I've had in a game in a long time.

Best Paladin build in Diablo 4

  • Aura Paladin

  • Shield of Vengeance Paladin

  • Blessed Hammer Paladin

While things may change in future seasons, most of Paladin's build is Diablo 4 Season 11 is viable in the meta. The best build the class has to offer is the Auradin build which uses the Paladin's special Aura mechanic to essentially get kills by existing. However, there are other great builds if that's not your cup of tea, like the Shield of Retribution build I've been running this season, which deals Thorns damage and Blessed Shield, or the Blessed Hammer Paladin which essentially turns the player into Marvel's Thor.
