Before going into battle in the seventh episode, it's time to address the elephant in the room – Kenzaku's strange conversation with Sasaki. While pulling him out of the barrier, Kenzaku thanks him for befriending his son. Sasaki was confused, so she didn't immediately understand the meaning of the statement. However, after waking up and meeting up with the others, Kenzaku realizes that Itadori is referring to Yuji.
At first glance, it seems that the statement does not mean anything, especially since Kenzaku is a cruel and merciless person. But at the same time, he didn't need to thank Sasaki. He could just get him out of the barrier and leave to begin the next phase of his plan to evolve humanity. Unfortunately, the anime is unlikely to expand on the situation right away, so fans will have to wait a while before learning about Kenzaku's true feelings.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 8 will be released on February 26, 2026. The episode is titled “Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Part 2”. Just by looking at the title, it's pretty clear that the new episode will focus on Itadori and Megumi's adventures in Tokyo Colony 1. So far Itadori and Megumi have had different experiences within the barrier. Megumi meets a woman, whom he easily befriends, and then asks her to guide him to Higuruma.

On the other hand, Itadori Yuji had to fight not one but two newly awakened mages. Like most participants, they both wanted to kill others to collect points and then enforce the rules for their own benefit. Unfortunately, they underestimated Itadori, causing them to be beaten by the hero. After handling the two, Itadori meets a “friendly” boy, Amai. The latter recognized Itdori, as he was from the same hometown. When Itadori asked him about Higuruma, the boy replied, “Ikebukuro.” In comparison, Remi tells Megumi that Higuru is in Shinjuku.

Considering Itdori and Megumi got different answers, it's safe to say they won't be reuniting anytime soon. Itadori will be on his way to Ikebukuro, while Megumi will be on his way to Shinjuku. Based on the preview, it looks like Higuruma will be the center of attention in JJK Season 3 Episode 8. As of now, fans only know that Higuru is one of the two participants to have accumulated 100 points in the cooling game, which means he is extremely strong. However, viewers have yet to see Higuruma in action, but that will change in the upcoming episode.
If Higuruma approached them first, he would have the advantage of catching them off guard. In addition, Megumi and Itadori are separated, so he will not be outnumbered. Everything points to Higuruma showing off his powers in the new episode, so fans need to be patient for a little while before they find out about him.
