Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Rating Show Solo Leveling is still undefeated

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is now nearing its end with each passing episode, and it's clear to see that it's been incredibly successful. Although, its success is certainly great, it fails to reach the same level Single leveling Season 2, which, to date, remains the undisputed highest rated anime on Crunchyroll. Despite the huge popularity of Jujutsu Kaisen, Single leveling remains undefeated, and it is clear to see that this will continue for years to come.

Dissecting the global reception of the cooling game arc

jujutsu kaisen season 3 calling game arc success

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 featured the incredible Calling Game arc, and it goes without saying that it's one of the most exciting parts of the story. It also cannot be denied that this arc is incredibly rich when it comes to lore and complex battle mechanics, which some fans find boring. What's more, Jujutsu Kaisen's Calling Game is quite long, and the first few episodes only serve as a build-up. As such, the season finale is where the true battles are, and the second part of the Calling Game arc is going to be very exciting.

These are some of the factors that have held Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 back so much, and while it's still very well received, it hasn't broken records around the world, which is one of its shortcomings, and the main reason why solo leveling remains undefeated to this day.

Why solo leveling fights and pacing cement this as the perfect new anime

Solo Leveling Best New Action Anime

Solo leveling is as successful as it is because of its combat and pacing. Solo leveling features exciting fights in almost every episode, and these fights are very well written for what they offer. The story is quite simple, and there is nothing too complicated about the world.

As a Japanese person living in Japan, anime is not on the level of Dragon Ball, One Piece, or Naruto. But if there's a third season, I'd really like to break that limit. – Atsushi Kaneko, single level producer

Jujutsu Kaisen is a very complex story and does not offer elaborate battles in every episode. While seasons usually end with big battles, there's a lot of world-building and exposition in between that some fans don't find interesting, which is incredibly unfortunate. The direct approach to solo leveling makes it very rewarding in Crunchyroll, establishing it as a phenomenal action series, but Jujutsu Kaisen isn't all about solo leveling, and that's a big reason why it's not rated higher.

An upcoming anime that could rival A-1 Pictures' masterpiece

jjk season 3 solo leveling competition

A-1 Pictures' Solo Leveling is truly a masterpiece, though the story is quite simple. It's going to be very difficult for any series to match this, but if there's one series that can do it, it's probably Jujutsu Kaisen because the best part of this story is yet to come.

The second part of The Calling Game is taking the story to a whole new level, and what comes next, with the final arc, is sure to blow everything out of the water. Once Jujutsu Kaisen finishes its run, it will most likely be the most rated anime on Crunchyroll and possibly the only one to rival it, but until then Solo Leveling remains undefeated and sits on the throne of most popular modern anime on Crunchyroll.

Both Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 and Solo Leveling are available to stream on Crunchyroll.
