LEGO historically releases products in waves throughout the year, usually in January, March, June and August. February and October waves are also a fairly regular occurrence, although they are usually smaller than the others. These releases follow a consistent pattern, with direct-to-consumer products typically launching on different dates than mass retail items. The former usually arrives on the first day of the month, while the latter is less predictable and usually messy. LEGO's January 2026 wave consisted of approximately 180 sets, including promotional items that were not sold directly but were instead offered as part of the company's traditional “gift with purchase” offers.

All new LEGO sets released on March 1, 2026
Most March 1 sets have less than 1,000 pieces. The only exceptions are 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle, 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, 42228 McLaren MCL39 F1 Car, and 40955 Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel. They are also the most expensive offerings in Lego's latest product wave, retailing at $229.99 for the McLaren model, $149.99 for the Container Ship, $129.99. Zelda $199.99 for the set, and the FIFA trophy. While the difference in price between the Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel and the McLaren MCL39 F1 car may seem significant on a similar piece count, it reflects their different target audiences and design complexity. The McLaren is an adult-oriented LEGO Technic set, while the 12+ rated Container Vessel features a lot of repetitive construction that often consists of the same containers.
Several LEGO sets originally planned for release on March 1 have been delayed. This includes the 43300 Winnie the Pooh, $149.99, 1,399-piece build that is now scheduled to arrive on March 19. Another Disney set, 43305 Piglet's Birthday Fun, is in the same boat. 31220 Art Monet Lily Pads have also been pushed back to March 4th.
Orders on most LEGO sets from the March 1 wave are limited to three per customer, a longstanding company practice meant to deter scalpers. An exception is the 40955 Maersk dual-fuel container vessel, which is limited to two orders per customer.
