Marvel Rivals players with PS Plus can get Venom's Space Knight skin for free

There are some skins in Marvel Rivals that you hardly ever see anyone use, and Venom's Space Knight is up there as the most underused look in the game. That's about to change as the latest Marvel Rivals PS Plus freebies are revealed, and, you guessed it, this month members Get the Venom Space Knight Bundle at no extra cost.

If you have PS Plus, you can claim Venom's Space Knight bundle for free

Rivals may not be PS5 exclusive, but every few months, PS Plus members get something for free. Previous proposals have included a Venom skin for Penny and a costume for Jeff to look like a fluffy pink dolphin. Both skins were widely used in the game before they were given away for free, but the same cannot be said for Space Knight Venom.

The bundle contains not only the intergalactic skin of the symbiote. It also comes with its matching MVP Screen, Nameplate, Spray, and 300 Chrono Tokens To spend on what you love. If you have an active PS Plus membership, it's available now and should have its own little tile when you hover over Rivals on your home screen. If not, you can claim it through the PlayStation Store online here.

All of this means you'll almost certainly be seeing a lot of Space Knight Venom in your games the rest of this week and into the weekend. It is so rarely used that some of you may not know what it looks like, although the skin has been available since release day through the in-game store.

Why does anyone dislike Space Knight Venom?

That's because, for reasons I've yet to figure out, no one uses Venom's Space Knight skin. I think it looks great, and I will now claim that it is free with PS Plus. However, I don't already own it because Venom isn't a character I use regularly. I'm a penny man, so I shot at that free Venom skin the second it became available.

There are a few theories as to why we don't see many Space Knights in Rivals. Some feel this has to do with the poor response to the space version of the character's comic book run. Others believe that the metallic nature of the skin's organic feel is much greater than Venom's skin because the symbiote part of the character is always on the surface.

Another theory, and the one I believe, is that price has something to do with it. Venom's Space Knight skin costs 1,600 units, which is quite expensive. This is especially expensive when you compare it to the objectively superior anti-venom skin, which only costs 600 units. I know which one I will choose if I use Venom more often. I do have the Cyan Clash Venom skin from my time with the beta, though, which Rivals' developers have confirmed won't be available to those who didn't unlock it at the time.
