Season 2 of Fallout on Amazon Prime is finally here, or at least the first episode of Season 2, with the rest scheduled to roll out between now and early February.
I don't know about anyone's studies, but I will definitely wait until February, when the season ends, and then repeat everything. Waiting week after week just isn't my cup of tea.
I'm doing the same with the Stranger Things finale, which is dangerous territory with the final episode coming out on New Year's Eve and is sure to be discussed endlessly.
Ahead of Season 2, there was a lot of promotion, including a terribly written AI recap video of Season 1 that was quickly taken down, as well as an appearance at a Fallout fan fest near the real-life inspiration of The Ghoul himself, Walton Goggins, in New Vegas.
If you're accusing Fallout's Lucy of being a cringe, you're missing the point
Prime Video has given us our first glimpse at Fallout Season 2 – and it's all about Lucy.
That said, the promotions are about as surprising as Mr. House being transplanted to the edge of the Las Vegas area, which, incidentally, has brought to life one of Fallout's longest-running memes.
Okay, so it's not the perfection of Mr. House's face on the side of the sphere, but it's close to it.
For the uninitiated, The Sphere is one of the newest additions to the Las Vegas Strip, and is a real venue that has hosted many concerts and performances. However, mostly, it is a giant circular LED board that is used as a medium to advertise whatever someone has paid to advertise on it.
It's pretty epic, all things considered, and it's a testament to the success of the live-action adaptation of Fallout that it was deemed worthy enough to spend enough money to warrant advertising.
Go figure, Fallout fans tried to do it this way before the show did it
As GamesRadar noted in their write-up, a little over a year ago, there was an entire GoFundMe campaign dedicated to making the Mr. House meme a reality.
At the time, the “Showcase Mr. House in the Las Vegas area for a day” campaign needed to generate $487,710 to get his perfectly moustached mug round for all to see.
This was before it became even more clear how much the character would impact Season 2 of the show. Unfortunately, that campaign failed, otherwise we would have already brought the meme to life. A few hundred bucks were raised, which, we're really aware, isn't enough to get a minute of air-time in Vegas.
Leave it to Amazon to make all our meme dreams come true. Here's hoping Amazon is actively browsing the Fallout Memes community on Reddit and makes another one come true.
