Last week, Capcom confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds would be getting a second beta. The beta will run over two weekends in February, feature all of the content from the first beta, and add a new quest against Gypceros from the original Monster Hunter.

While the news was met with enthusiasm, something more caught the eye of the player – twerking Gypceros, which is now officially accepted by the Monster Hunter team.
After the beta announcement trailer, threads started popping up on the Monster Hunter subreddit, with players fascinated by Gypceros' “flash and twerk” trick.
In the video, the hunter can be seen approaching Gypseros, who then flashes and sends him to the ground. Following Flash, the monster shakes its back and then whips its tail at the unsuspecting victim.
It is this move that has drawn praise from the gaming community.
Apparently mindful of the stir it created online, Capcom's social team used the official Monster Hunter Twitter account to tell players, “Gypseros can't resist the urge to hit 'em”. [peach emoji]”.
The tweet was clearly a great marketing ploy, garnering over 10,000 likes within its first 12 or so hours – not that Monster Hunter needed much marketing given how successful the first beta of another game was.
For those wondering when they might return, the next beta of Monster Hunter Wilds will run from Friday 7 February (3 am UTC) to Monday 10 February (2:59 am UTC) and then again on Friday. 14 February (3 am UTC) to Monday 17 February (2:59 am UTC).
