As with most of the secrets of the Strixhaven pre-cons, with the exception of the prismary artwork that was part of the leak, we currently know very little about the contents of the Witherbloom Pestilence deck. However, we'll keep you updated as spoiler season gets into full swing.

Mysterious Colleges of Magic: The Gathering returns with five new Commander decks, each with their own unique playstyle and stylish leader.
Commander Breakdown
Dina, the Essence Brewer, is the commander for the Witherbloom Pestilence Pre-Con, and their main ability allows you to. Draw a card each time you sacrifice a creatureBut only once per turn.
This means you can sacrifice creatures to draw cards on your opponent's turn if you choose to do so.
On top of that, they also have two mana plus tapping Dina, an active ability for Essence Brewer. It allows you to Sacrifice a creature and gain X life and put X +1/+1 counters on target creature you control, where X is the power value of the sacrificed creature.
for example, If you sacrifice a 4/4 creature, you gain four life and put four +1/+1 counters on another creature. You control.
Deck Themes and Strategy
As we mentioned in the introduction, Witherbloom is interesting for the conflicting beliefs within the college, which results from the two deans, Valentine and Lisette. Opposing beliefs about life and death. Lisette chooses to nurture and protect all life as sacred, while Valentine believes that death and decay are nature's natural fuels.
This is reflected in the deck mechanics, where Attainment of life is connected with sacrifice. As we've already seen with Dina, we can expect that there will be new cards that combine both the sacrifice element with life gain.
Elsewhere, the deck is likely to have a build-up of focus cards +1/+1 counters, graveyard interactions, and life drain.
