Eventually, the three became known as the Legendary Sannin. Among them, Jiraiya was the one who became the most famous because he did hundreds of missions.

He was fiercely loyal to the Hidden Leaf, and would do anything to protect the village from harm. A good example is how he threatened to kill Tsunade if she threatened the safety of the Hidden Leaf. Jiraiya was also responsible for training many amazing ninjas, who would play an important role in the story. What makes him so legendary is that even in death, he brings down notes to help the Hidden Leaf fight against the Six Paths of Suffering. Furthermore, he even sacrificed himself to show his student what it means to be a ninja.
