This becomes a turning point for the battle as Naruto single-handedly defeats five of the Six Paths of Pain. The Dava path really tested his limits, causing him to lose control over his emotions. He became the reason for the opening of the Nine Tails. It is this fight where fans first see Naruto's father Minato. In the end, Naruto surpassed the Fourth Hokage in this battle.
