Xbox A huge sale is underway on games, with select titles eligible for a buy 1, 2 free deal. Xbox gamers looking for some new video games to play may want to check it out and see if their wishlist titles are on sale.
It's a great time to be an Xbox fan, with the first Xbox Developer Direct of the year taking place on January 22. The show focused on four games starting in 2026, viz fable, Forza Horizon 6, Animal of Reincarnationand kiln. Xbox now offers buy 1, get 2 free games from the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One console generations with over 300 games and DLC that can be applied. The types of indie games included in the sale vary, so fans of almost any game genre can find something to interest them here. The sale will run until January 29, so aspiring gamers shouldn't wait too long to check it out.

Access Xbox buy 1, get 2 free sales
Unfortunately, it's not possible to view the Xbox games included in the sale via an internet browser, so players will need to access them via their Xbox consoles instead.
To do so, players must boot the system, then navigate to the store. From there, look for the Deals section and scroll until the Special Offers banner appears. The sale should be listed there, and players can see the full list of all games included in the sale.
Making the most of Xbox sales
While there are some good deals on indie games that players can potentially get here, it's worth pointing out that there are some caveats to the sale that can be navigated to get a better deal.
When three included games are selected, the Xbox Store will automatically look at the list and determine which is the most expensive. The two least expensive games will be the ones that the buyer gets for free, while the most expensive game they will have to pay for. Accordingly, choosing three equally-priced games will be a better deal for the buyer than choosing one high-priced game and two low-priced titles. Additionally, if one is thinking of buying three games rather than one, choosing the games to include in each bundle based on their prices can be a good deal.
Buy 1, Get 2 Free This isn't just an Xbox sale
Those who can't find the Buy 1, Get 2 Free sale or want more great deals are in luck, because this isn't the only sale on Xbox right now. Right before the Xbox Developer Direct, Xbox launched a sale that included titles from several Xbox first-party developers, with some great deals. just to name a few, Quantum break, psychologists and Psychonaut 2, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2and Alan Wake's American Nightmare All are 75% off, while Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon 5 Can be saved for 50% off. The fable The series is 67% off, 2025 action-adventure game south of midnight 25% off, and Ninja Gaiden 4 30% off at its lowest price ever.
