Elbaf Arch is undoubtedly one of the largest arches a piece history In fact, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call this the best arc of the series to date. Elbaf Arch embodies everything that a piece stands for. It contains the perfect amount of storytelling, action and drama. Oda also revealed all sorts of secrets to the Elbaf Ark, including exactly what went down in the God Valley.
Aside from storytelling and world-building, the arc also has a great deal of action. The Elbaf arc features several stellar fights, some of which were part of the God Valley flashbacks. Not all fights in the arc were of equal length. Some of them lasted only a few minutes while others took hours.
This post contains spoilers for a piece.
Davey D. J. Beck v. Figureland Garling
Winner: Davey D. J. Beck
-
Jabek was trying to save his family
-
Garling was beaten
Davey D., the leader of the Rocks Pirates in the Dev Valley flashback. Zebek was dominant. Fans have been waiting to learn more about Xebec for years because he seemed like such an interesting character. When Oda finally reveals Jabek's true nature, readers are pleasantly surprised.
In a flashback, Jabek traveled to God Valley to save his wife and child from the clutches of the Celestial Dragon. Zebek was very protective of his family, and he would not stop at any cost. Garling, a holy knight, tried to stop the pirates, but it was no use. Jabek dismissed the Holy Knight and carried on as if nothing had happened. Considering Garling was taken out by Jabek so quickly, this makes her introduction, where she's called the champion of God Valley, even more fun.
Davey D. Jebeck vs. Harald
Winner: Davey D. J. Beck
-
Their friendship started from the first meeting
-
Harald and Rux were equal in strength
Aside from Jebek, one of the main attractions of the flashbacks was King Harald of Elbaf. Long after the arc began, Harald's name was constantly mentioned in the story, clearly indicating that he would play a pivotal role. Harald was heralded as the greatest ruler of Elbaf because he was a kind and just man. However, he was not one to be pushed around.
Harald possessed immense physical strength and Haki, with which he could match almost anyone in strength, including Zebek. Harald first meets Zebek in Marijoa, where their skirmish destroys almost everything within a certain range. A second time they fought at Elbaf, which caused a great strain on their friendship. The third and final battle between the two took place at sea. Harald had initially decided to fight Zebek because the World Government had promised to make Elbaf an affiliated nation if he did so. But after learning about Jebek's true past, Harald decides to back off and let Jebek win. All three fights between Harald and Xebec are extremely important to the overall story of the piece, so they are very high on the list.
Scoper Gaban vs. Shepherd Somers
Winner: Scoper Gaban
-
Gabon bypassed Somers' revival
-
Gaban's, Vijay saved the Straw Hats
The Elbaf arc featured the debut of Scoper Gabban, one of the series' most charismatic characters. Gabon used to be Gol de Roger's left-hand man. He has lived in Elbaf for a very long time, and people affectionately call him Ya-san. Fans have been waiting to see Gaban in action for a long time as they wanted to know how his powers compared to Silver Rayle.
Fortunately, they didn't have to wait long to see Gaban in action. When the Holy Knights attacked Elbaf, they didn't know Gaban would be there to stop them. Shepherd Somers was the first person to get a taste of Gabon's power. After spending a great deal of time persecuting the innocent citizens of Elbaf, Somers finally got his comeuppance at the hands of Gaban. The latter cut off Somers' arm and then proceeded to deliver a fatal blow to the holy knight, rendering him unable to fight.
Davey D. Jaybeck vs. Roger and Garp
Winner: Roger and Garp
-
Xebec wanted to stop
-
Roger and Garp team up to defeat Jbeck
Davey D. Zebeck was the star of the God Valley event. He went to the island to save his wife and child from being killed. When he succeeded in completing the task, Zebek could not save himself. Unfortunately, he fell victim to Emu's domi reversion, causing him to turn into a monster. Jabek tried to fight back the change, but he failed to do so. He was then ordered by Emu to wipe out his family and everyone else on the island. Fortunately, Kuma saved Eris and Teach before they could reach Zebek.
The monstrous pirate then turned his attention to Garp and Roger. As he approached the two, Garp and Roger heard voices asking them to kill him. They were confused, but knew it needed to be done. While everyone else is running, Roger and Garp stand their ground and fight Jabek. They used several Conqueror's Haki attacks on the monster, but none of them worked. In the end, Roger found a way to bypass Jabek's defenses. Although it was a risky move, they had no choice but to try. Thankfully, the gambit paid off and Zebeck died.
