It is said that 14 years ago, the great king of the land of Elbaf, King Harald, was murdered by his own son, Prince Loki, who was known as the Cursed Prince of Elbaf. Loki was then accused of stealing and eating the country's legendary Devil Fruit. According to the people of Elbaf, this made him similar to the sun god. Elbaf's Devil Fruit was said to be the country's national treasure and, as such, it was always going to be incredibly powerful.
In the subsequent Elbaf flashback, fans finally got a proper look at Loki's Devil Fruit powers when he fought against King Harald. While Oda chose to keep things in silhouette, it was clear, at least to m, that Loki's powers were of the legendary Joan variety and allowed him to transform into some sort of creature. More than that, it gave Loki so much power that he was able to completely destroy King Harald in battle, and this went on to show just how powerful this devil fruit was.

One Piece has a new strongest character, confirmed by Oda in the latest chapter.
In One Piece Chapter 1174, Oda finally unleashed Loki's Devil Fruit power properly, and it was clear to see. This allowed him to transform into a giant black dragon which encompassed the entire sky of Elbaf. Loki's Dragon Devil Fruit allows him to transform into Nidhog, the legendary creature of Norse mythology, and it goes without saying that it holds great power. As with all legendary John Devil Fruits, Loki's Fruit will also grant him special powers.
Legendary Zoans can be distinguished from other Zoan Devil Fruits in that they allow transformation into legendary creatures and that They all have special powers That sets them apart from others. For example, Sengoku's legendary Joan allows him to produce shock waves from the palm of his hand. Likewise, Katrina Devon's appearance and possibly the ability to copy other people's powers. Kaido's legendary Zoan granted him the ability to manipulate certain elements as well as near indestructibility, and so on and so forth. In Loki's case, this special ability can come in two very unique ways, one manipulation of fireand second existence soul damage.

The first thing to keep in mind when considering Loki's Devil Fruit powers is his fire manipulation ability. When Loki first debuted as the Nidhog Dragon in One Piece chapter 1174, he was shown using the power of lightning. Apparently, Oda is equaling lightning with Loki, and that already makes him a very powerful person. But, as previously teased in Elbaf, The country's two biggest weaknesses are lightning and fire. It would make perfect sense for Loki to wield both abilities.
On top of that, Loki is a western dragon, and all western dragons have the ability to breathe fire. Loki having the ability to manipulate fire and lightning makes it absolutely perfect. It also complements his weapon Ragnir, who has apparently shown the ability to manipulate ice. In that case, Loki would have both extreme powers under his control, and that would make him one of the strongest characters in all of One Piece.

Only after Loki ate his Devil Fruit was he able to completely destroy Harald. Even for someone like Emu, this came as a surprise because Harald was an extremely powerful weapon that shouldn't be able to kill. However, Loki managed it with the power of his Devil Fruit.
