Overwatch 2 Vendetta, the new sword-wielding gladiator hero coming to the game in Season 20, has been officially revealed. Overwatch 2 Officially arrives on December 9th, but players can try her out during her Hero Trials starting November 26th.
During the Overwatch 2 Spotlight event, Blizzard revealed Frieza and Wuyang, the first two characters out of three planned for this year. However, it also teased a third hero as a small cartoon that can be seen in the background. Over the next several months, Blizzard dropped several other teasers for Hero 45, from map Easter eggs to collectible masks. Overwatch 2 Season 19's Haunted Masquerade mod.
Overwatch 2 Hero 45 Vendetta Backstory Revealed
now, Overwatch 2 The curtain has finally been pulled back on Hero 45. This Italian gladiator at the Colosseum is named Vendetta. Old players Overwatch 2 Archival missions may recognize this name. Giordani was one of the main antagonists of the Overwatch Retribution Blackwatch mission. In the story, Giordani was shot and killed by Gabriel Reyes, who led a strike team of Cassidy, Moira, and Genji.
Needless to say, Reyes – now known as the Reaper – and Moira in the Talon, and Cassidy and Genji are a part of it. OverwatchVendetta has reasons to come to both sides of the classic conflict between the two organizations. Ramatra's recent words to Zenyatta Overwatch 2 The comic also suggests as much, and with Null Sector taking a back seat, the stage is set for Vendetta to become a new major antagonist for nearly every other playable hero in the game right now.
Vendetta's role and abilities have not yet been revealed, but during the cinematic, she blocks bullets with her blade, levitates in the air, and cuts a large super weapon in two with her flaming sword, suggesting she may be a tank hero. Additionally, judging by her mask in the Haunted Masquerade game mode, she will likely focus on air damage, ability power, and movement speed. Either way, fans will definitely learn within the next couple of weeks, as Vendetta will be playable during her Hero Test weekend from November 26th to December 1st.
