PlayStation opens wishlists for Insomniac Games' Wolverine

Marvel's Wolverine doesn't arrive until Fall 2026, but that hasn't stopped Insomniac Games and PlayStation from making the title available for “wishlists” on the PlayStation Store.

As first shared on social media, Marvel's Wolverine, which has been given a vague “Fall 2026” release window, can now be added to your PlayStation “wishlist,” meaning the second pre-order goes live, you'll be notified.

It's not much, but it's another sign that the game is close to release. At least, it was closer than a few months ago when some people were convinced that game development was in hell. Of course, those fears were put to bed during the most recent PlayStation State of Play event.

It's also worth noting that Wolverine isn't the only high-profile game being made available for the “wish list”, as Grand Theft Auto 6 is also in the same spot, which many have taken as a positive sign.

Wolverine is real, bloody and chalk-X-Men lore

During September's State of Play event, a new trailer was revealed, giving players everything they've come to expect in the four years or so since the game's launch.

There was Mystique, whose fans are confident they know how she'll be revealed, as well as Omega Red, who at least looks like one of the game's villains. Naturally, it didn't take long for fans to start comparing the trailer to the leak, and, go figure, the game looks even better than what's doing the rounds on the internet. The gore was also on point, so much so that some devs thought they were going “too far”.

Now, flash forward today, and you can happily add Marvel's Wolverine to your “wish list.” Hopefully, it won't be four years before you can start pre-ordering the game. Of course we're kidding.
