The Pokemon Company has confirmed the release date for its upcoming 30th Anniversary expansion on April 2nd. The 30th Celebration is officially set to launch on September 16th in Japan, with some significant changes from the typical Japanese language packs. The 30th Anniversary will include six cards per booster pack for the Japanese version, as opposed to the usual five, with each card in the pack printed as a holofoil. The Pokemon TCG Teasing new cards of Pikachu, Mew, and Mewtwo among new rarities in the set, the anniversary expansion will also feature new rarities in particular. The Japanese release is expected to follow soon after the set's global debut, previously confirmed as a simultaneous launch.
The 30th celebration is not just about new products Pokemon TCGAnniversary celebrations in September. Official listings from The Pokemon Company are teasing the Premium Deck Set: Espeon and Umbreon releasing on the same day, featuring pre-built decks focused on Eeveelutions. The company hasn't revealed any official details about the pair of new decks, though the spotlight cards are expected to be in new rarities for the 30th anniversary.

The 30th Celebration will follow a 2021 celebration expansion to reprint vintage cards, including the Classics collection as a special subset featuring reprints of some of the franchise's most recognizable cards.
