Qatar banking assets see 1.2% rise

RIYADH: Qatar's banking assets rose 1.2 percent month-on-month to 1.99 trillion Qatari riyals ($546.4 billion) in June, driven by an increase in domestic investment and credit. According to QNB Financial Services, this increase means a 1.5 percent increase in banking sector assets in 2024, compared to 1.96 trillion riyals recorded in December 2023. Domestic assets increased by 0.7 percent month-on-month to 1.62 trillion riyals in June, while foreign assets increased by 3 percent to 292.3 billion riyals.
