Sung Jinwoo unlocked a new shadow by solo leveling known as Colossus
Solo Leveling Arises is one of the most exciting video game adaptations of the Solo Leveling series. This is a mobile game, and through it, the story of solo leveling can be expanded somewhat as fans take control of their favorite characters. Solo Leveling Arise brings forth new characters for players to experiment with, and that can be seen especially through the new Shadows for Sung Jinwoo. The newest shadow that Sung Jinwoo received in the Arise game has now been officially revealed, and it's called Colossus.
Colossus is a new Shadow of Jinwu based on the character he already fought in Manwa, and is a mechanical giant. During the S-Rank Gate Raid in Japan, Jinwoo fought a mechanical giant, but in the story, he was unable to cast his shadow. Colossus should be an interesting new character for fans to use as he allows water buffs in solo leveling: Arise.
Colossus turning into a shadow is incompatible with the lore of solo leveling
It's always interesting to see new characters join the army of the living as shadows. However, the most recent Shadow addition, Colossus, specifically goes against the solo leveling lore in many ways. First, as already stated, Jinwu couldn't take out the shadow of the mechanical giant when he fought in Manhwa and that was, of course, a major reason. Jinwoo was stronger than the giant and should be able to extract shadows easily, but in solo leveling, not every character's soul is extractable.

Emperors and rulers are a no-go for extracting Jinwu, and the same applies to monsters, as well as puppet creatures, which fall under the Mechanical Giant. In that sense, the mechanical giant is just an illusion, and he doesn't really have a solid soul to draw from to turn into a shadow.

Solo leveling Rise has a lot of lore issues
Get up solo leveling There are many inconsistencies with the original solo leveling series. This isn't really an issue since fans are aware of the fact that they are two separate canons, but some of the lore discrepancies are very serious and have been highlighted by fans of the game.
For example, one character Jinwu unlocks in solo leveling Arise that he couldn't get in the original series is Baruka, the leader of the Ice Elves. King Jinwu of the Ice Elves was the first character to fail to take out, and this was due to being at different power levels when exchanged. Of course, in this case, as opposed to turning into a mechanical giant colossus, taking out his shadow was a solid possibility.
There is also the issue of Cerberus in solo leveling Arise. Cerberus' shadow should have been impossible to cast as he was not a real being but a creation of the Architect. This brings up an issue similar to the case of Colossus. From this, it's clear that solo leveling Arise is giving Jinwoo shadows that he can't pull off according to the lore of the original story.
Of course, at the end of the day, most fans don't like this inconsistency and it's still fun—if Jinwoo was actually able to pull them off. The likes of Cerberus and Colossus add a lot of fun to the game and give Jinwoo new creative shades to use.
